I really would like to get into a newer unit, my hi ranger has been very reliable but id like to go taller,
I found a teco vangard for a fair price ,original owner , im getting an inspection and dialect before i buy, ive been looking around and have mixed reviews on the lift ,the truck is a solid unit and im not to worried about that , i do not use my bucket everyday more like 4 or 5 days a month so the work load would be lite.

i called nueco and they found the original purchase order and build sheet and have all parts available without issue they also mentioned a "mini rebuild" with all the basics if i wanted to looking that but it has been a well maintained lift , just not sure what to do. ive owned my hi ranger forever and it has been very good to me, any advice would be great

The Teco Vanguard was a good unit. Unfortunately, Teco was purchased by Altec and is being systematically obsoleted. Parts availability is worsening and when found are very expensive. The only "stand alone" aerial lift manufacturers are Terex HiRanger, Altec, and Versalift. I personally would stick with an older 6TDI65 or a 6H65 hiranger- as they have proven themselves to be reliable, easy to repair units. For information Altec now has purchased and dismantled: Lift All, Reach All, Holan, Teco, Aerial Lift of Conn, and a couple of other "short" lift manufacturers.
