Ok so FWIW I don't post regularly here but i browse a ton.
I burn wood and drop prob 30-40 trees a year plus take care of storm damage etc, I'm pretty well versed with saws etc.
I have a very very low hour husqvarna 2100xp (one of the cleanest I've ever seen) that is my baby- I have run maybe 3/4 of a gallon of turbo blue in the past 5 years in it, run it very fat on stihl HP ultra, have the original husqvarna 24" hardnose bar in great shape.
I'm needing a good saw to cut my bigger stuff with and I am scared to use my husky as I feel it's more of a museum piece than a daily cutter. I'm looking for a good pro 80cc saw that is newer so I don't mind "leaning" on her more. I'm looking at an echo CS800P and porting it and dropping the base gasket. I don't want or need a racing saw but want a reliable good cutting saw. I'm also thinking with the money left over I can upgrade my mid range saws.
I'm actually liking the echo lineup this year (15/16) with the features and quality for the price. Husqvarna and stihl are asking so much for so little of a saw now I'm just not impressed. I'm also liking the dolmars too. My good friend has a 5100 and it's a real cutter for its size!
Please I'm open to all advice!
