semi load of pulp wood?

anyone buy semi loads of pulp wood for firewood? if so about how many chords of wood does a load usually make? had a logger tell me how much a load would be but i forgot what he said.

100" lengths around here. To me pulp wood means popple/aspen maybe pine, soft wood.

Semi load is always minimum of 10 cords here.

when I am moving them its 12 cords per load.... aspen/popple, pine, maple and bass wood. 65.00 a cord ,

20 cords here. And it would make pretty poor firewood.

I don't know if all the plulp wood is conifer but if it is it would not be the best for firewood a seasoned hard wood is a much better bet in the area I live we do a fair amount of coppiceing so over a period of time we get 5 or so goes at each tree before having to re plant

around here it will be mixed hardwoods oak cherry walnut hickory etc with some poplar which i have no problem with. pulp here refers to anything to small or crooked to take to the mill

Saw mill across the hill from my brother sells culls from their milling operation, 10 full cords 4'x4'x8' on their small truck. Or you can leave your flat bed trailer there and they will load it with however much you disire on the trailer. I used to get 5 full cords on my tri axel trailer.

They would also if harvesting their own saw logs cut tops and load 10 cords on their truck or what you wanted on your flat bed trailer.
It was all Oak, Maple, Cherry and Ash hard wood.

Pulp here is popple, birch and other soft woods, used to make paper. It can be from 6" dia up to 12" in diameter.

We just sent a load of pulp out week before last. It was all fir, some with butt rot. About the junkiest firewood stuff you could find.

Around here you can get birch/ash/maple/tamarack mix for about $100-110 per cord for ten cord loads. Aspen is less.

Tamarack is the best sauna wood hands down. But I'm not about to hump it out of swamps or off bogs so oak and birch will do lol.

There's a big one-18-20" dbh along my hiking trail that I'm so tempted to drop and take home.
