we hav a forum for chain sharpning but it has nothing in it?!?
-when i have a question about my nt grinder(thanks every 1 !!) or a file or angle or what ever(o yea I got lots a questions bout sharpning lol)I have to sift thu way to many threads an posts-wouldnt every one find it more convenient if all chain sharpning advice was in the forum it is supose to be in?THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME !

Good point. I guess that in my mind chains are a part of chainsaws, so it just never occurred to me to seek out a more specific forum.

I don't even know where that chain sharpening forum came from. 24d, why don't you start a thread and put a link to all the chain sharpening threads in it? I don't know how far back you've looked, but there are some great threads on sharpening that go back 4 or 5 years or more. I would but I'm a behind the scenes type of guy.

re

well I think that if alot of people think its a good idea for all the great and yes very abundant sharpning info to be in the chain sharpning forum maybe the people in charge could move it there-its not that big of a deal I just feel it would be very handy-especially cents its only got two threads lol

I wore out all my chain files opening up my mufflers and now I can't sharpen any chains until I get my tax refund. Good thing the muffler mod worked or wood cutt'en would be purdy slow right now.:ices_rofl:

The chain section came over from hotsaws when it was absorbed back over here, i think.

Maybe I am REALLY blind but where is the tab to click to get into the forum from the main page?

well on my screen its the 3rd forum after chainsaws ?

ok I just went and looked and I see what you mean -go to the forums home page scroll down to equipment forums-click on it--thats where I enter this site at instead of the home page-

I like this idea :)

I'm not too crazy about this one though, lol. Tell ya what 24d, if you do decide to go with Toms idea of putting the links in one thread, I'll move them into that forum. I think your idea is good, I just don't want to be the one hunting up the threads, I'm pretty sure if you start a thread in there that others will help you.

Exactly.

or just scroll down to "forum jump" on this very page. saves a lot of time as opposed to backing out and digging back in...

I even wouldn't be surprised if some of them organized types out there don't have a folder in their favorites with a pile of chain sharpening links in it.

yep thats it

Im sure that is by far the best plan-Ill start the thread now-"THE"sharp chain thread !! I hope everyone will join in - I sure got alot to learn !!
