Nope, the Cub Cadet saws are made by Oleo Mac, just different colors from what I've read. good saws. poulans of today are useless to me compared to an extra tough saw like a husky, dolmar or stihl pro saw.

I know poulan is owned by Elux, I suspect Oleo Mac is so too.
Other companys Elux has digested is McCulloch, Jonsered, Husqvarna, Jobu, Partner, Homelite, I know I am forgetting a few....

It says right on the Cub Cadet saws, "EMAK, Made in Italy"

Emak, Efco, Oleo-Mac, Olympik are all related somehow.

So I guess what I'm really after, is , are they a good saw? I know Poulon are junk disposables. I doubt that they could ever compare to Sthil or Husky, but i was just curious as to how y'all would rate them for price, performance, and duability......

The same Emak saws can be had in John Deere green.  By all accounts here they are fine saws.

Emak is part of "The Yama Group".
