Shindaiwa 500 trigger module

Since the trigger module is obsolete, has anyone tried using the nova2 chip on any of these shindaiwa saws. I am having a heat issue whith mine and it looks like the trigger module is possibly the problem. I did this mod on one of my 031's and had great success once i got the flywheel advanced correctly. There just is not alot of information out there on these saws on the electronics side. I would think this mod would work, but guessing it will be a timing issue to get correct. Any help would be appreciated.
