I was going to tell you about my new Shindaiwa 680 saw but I got outbid at the last second. Sometimes being a cheapskate sucks.

hey im the guy that bought both the 680s and they were both burned up well one was but we saved both cyls early 680 cyl.

Well then I'm glad I got outbid because I'm not a mechanic. Fuel lines, carb kits, and spark plugs. It runs or I am screwed.

I have a few used ones and a couple nos pistons and those are the 680 pistons with the smaller wrist pin plus I have a few sets of rings for them. im working on a solution for the pistons. the 695 has a different crank with a bigger wrist pin . but 695 cylinder also has the small intake hole. in my books they say the cylinder coat is so hard it can withstand a complete engine meltdown in most cases. very heavy duty saw . only saw I know of with mikuni oil pumps all models accept 357.

Got to use this saw yesterday for a bit with a 20" bar . Wow! I was very pleasantly surprised! Online specs suggest setting the carb for a max rpm of 12000. Sure not very high?
Old thread here. But no, not very high. It’s why this saw is still useful decades after manufacture date. When were they produced?

If you need parts for it let me know :p
have a box of pull covers, box of ignitions, 3 bags of air filters, lol

Currently the saw has everything it needs! However, depending on price it might be useful to have a spare air filter on hand, depending on cost. No idea if I need to keep a spare ignition on hand?

If yours works you don't need a spare ignition :p
Tensioner? Have those as well
