How difficult is it to ship a chainsaw. I have a 262xp back home in New Brunswick, Canada and I want to ship it to my house in Arizona. Just wondering if anyone has experience shipping a saw across the border and just general shipping tips. Thanks in advance.

The best way to ship to and from canada I have found, is regular mail. I have sent a few saws for repair, and the fastest way and most cost efective have been regular postage, not Priority or UPS.

This is just what has worked for me,

Ship regular mail , insurance and declare what it is and you should have no trouble and will get there faster and cheaper

Check with your carrier. Usually you cannot ship "Air" if its ever had oil or gas in it. It has to go "Ground" and usually be labeled as hazardous. I'm sure some get away with it's but my understanding is there is a hefty fine for not declaring its been fueled and it goes "Air" and you get caught.

I bought a saw in Pittsburgh and checked it on the plane. They sniffed it real good but then ducttaped the box back up and it was good to go.:)
