Looking to buy a Silvey SDM-4 or Pro Sharp Chisel grinder. Called Baileys and Madsens. They are out both models.

Anyone know a company that might still have one?

Thanks

Brandon.......

I believe Silvey quit making the parts to build the Pro sharp for awhile. Their is one on feebay, 2k. You may call Silvey direct and I'm sure they can get some info where to find one of them.

Long story short: Silvey lost their original supplier of the castings for the large pieces of their less-popular models, and the new supplier wants an ungodly amount for short runs. They are exploring other options. If you call them regarding a specific model, they'll put you on a list to be informed when that model becomes available again. I'm currently waiting on the raker grinder to begin existing again. Give 'em a call; they're good folks and very much want to sell you what you want to buy. Eventually they'll make it happen.

me-too ?!

I am a cutter in n.w. Montana. i am also looking for the same stuff plus TREE JACKS. have to fell around ski resort properties. Some one stole my feather weight and now Silvey isnt producing those either. THANKS !!!!!

I'd like to get that HDG-6 raker grinder from Silvey too. The Madsens video on that looks slick.
I have heard it has a tendandy to leave one side just slightly taller raker than the other side.
Thread somewhere here on the topic.
