Looking for a set of skidding tongs,preferably on the west coast so shipping won't cost me a fortune. Also,still looking for an old west coast style falling axe.

I'd betcha (without even looking) that Bailey's has them.
Almost all tongs that I have seen, and used [from any supplier] do not have enough bend or curve in the leg, just below the rivet. To make them work or grab better they have to be heated and bent with a forge or torch. I have seen one supplier who sells some that are shaped correct, but they are two+ times as expensive. Beware of buying a too used set. They have to be sharpened occasionally and some people file the points until they are too short. It is better to heat and draw them out.
