I have a rather interesting little saw in my shop right now, its a skil 1620 chainsaw with a 10"banana bar. I'd swear its a Poulan S25 series saw, cut I am unsure.
whats worse is taht I need parts for it, mainly a new piston, connecting rod, connecting rod bearings, a flywheel side crankshaft bearing and seal, and a new clutch set too.
If anyone has some info for me on this saw please help me here, I'm interested in getting this saw going again and using it for work rather than my PM310. Any and all help is appreciated.
I read the data on the decal of this saw, it says standard duty, 2.0 cubic inch displacment, with solid state ignition.

I believe its a Poulan micro 25 model, but I am not totally sure. The handle and airbox are black on a lime green housing.

A bunch of the old Skils were Poulans. I ran a Skil 4 cubic inch class saw for a while many years ago. I've seen a couple of the little guys and did some parts swapping (starter/gas caps) with a Poulan Micro 2000. Considering all the work yours needs you might consider getting a running micro and just swap the covers. That wouldn't be a true restoration but it would be cheap and easy-and you would have a running Skil/Poulan.

I'd rather fix up the one I have, the repairs are required, but not as bad as they sound right now.
How else am I supposed to learn how to fix older Poulans?
