Putting some hours on the TW-6 with modified four-way wedge. This is an old photo (Jan./Feb. 2015 ), but good shot of how the wedge works to aide in sliding pieces back on the log lift for resplitting. Too muddy to move logs so cleaning up some piles of rounds and restocking the wood shed. On a three year rotation. Replacing what we have been burning this year. Dogs been getting mice around the wood pile while I'm splitting and moving split piles with the quad and trailer. Last night I went out to the shed about dusk with our Golden Retriever, and we saw a fox. I suspect it's probably getting mice too. I would encourage others to try this simple four-way modification (on fixed wedge splitters), and a pulp hook too, if you have yet to use one. I use to use a hook-a-roon, but haven't touched it since trying a pulp hook from Baileys. Especially nice to use with wet, snow covered wood.

This video came up after watching KiwiBro's post of the Posch video. Check it out. Someone is thinking out side the box again! Very cool dual action splitter with log rollers!!! Edit: It worked, I didn't think the vid would post.

That's slick! How does that two way splitting work? Hydraulic ram underneath and the blade is welded on sticking up?

Zogger, that one is driven by hydraulic motors. looks to be similarly set up to a directional boring machine. look up a Vermeer 36X50 or a Ditch Witch JT30
