Had a dropped limb from one of the Maples(Silver:clap: )on my property stuck up in the top of an American Arborvitae and couldn't tip it out with ladder or pole pruner combined. This looks like a job for the throwline! I chucked it up and over one of the stronger limbs on the maple and flung a couple of loops around the dead limb and pulled it up over and out of the Arb.. Feeling pretty pleased with myself I hastily retrieved the line and SMACK! got a face full of throwweight. Knocked the right safety lense clean out of the frame and gave me a nice lumpy eyebrow. I thought that throwlines always get stuck and never come down that easy... could be that little weight has it in for me:hmm3grin2orange:

Kk, I know, that was terrible *hangs head*

:p

oi.

One time i was throwing a throw ball, accidently stepped on the line as i threw it. That sucker came right back, popped me in the mouth and busted my lip wide open. I got a good laugh out of it, so did everyone else but darn it hurt.

:blob2: OK. You got the things goin'
I was above a branch doing cuts about 34 feet off the ground, and things got out of reach. I dropped my chainsaw running with a line tied thru the handle with throttle tied open to cut the limb below... next thing you know, the saw jumped off the limb and lodged in my wood ladder upon which I'm standing (yes, it was mounted in the fork of a tree about 20 feet up)... well, dang if that chainsaw didn't bite into the ladder and chop out one side, sending me pitching to the gravel driveway... luckily, the saw was still hung up the ladder when it hit the car... so it didn't cut into my wife's new Subaru. Made for TV bloopers... and noobs...

sorry bdawg I don't mean to be an ass but that sure seemed like a bad spot to put yourself in,
glad your ok aaaaaaaand :givebeer: I need a beer

I thread the line through the chrome tie ring and grannyshoot the ball into the crown. I can hit that perfect tie-in most times.

and BDAWG, try a velcro strap next time. I find they hold the throttle better for the "rope dangle cut." or RDC to the un-initiated.
