When you buy a 44 they got a small dawg (bumper spike) on the inside only.
Then your average Stihl dealer orders one in for you to go on the outside and guess what ... it's a lot bigger.
Then you try to show him what you are on about and that it has to match the existing inside one and he makes phone calls.
Well, that's what happens to me so I have the same dawg on the current saw as I did 3 saws ago as I migrate them.
They should just sell them with both, just scabbing out on $10! :chainsawguy:
No ****, they should just come wit them or maybe a choice, like in a package of diff sizes, my ms270's lower spike is about the most pathetic POS since the really nice plastic inside dawgs, think I'll just cut a set since all de holes be there, but it really does suxors (really), wimpy little POS has already near made me bite body parts ..................grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr :chainsawguy:
Common stihl, ya can't do better than that??????? for a POS 3$ piece of stamped steel??? Onna 300$ + saw, GAH! There be something missin' here (like my probably expensive outer dawg, the sttr is probably just as wimpy lower). What really rises a negative feeling here is that I think it was poorly designed in the first place, wtf with that little itty-bitty lower tooth? Obviously others have taken over and inexperienced pencil pushers may be makin' a decision or three, really sux imho. :chainsawguy: :chainsawguy:
Thats it guys, I'm gonna make my own and fit 'em, half the time I'm not sure what way they figure a saw should run and wtf may (or may not) be cut, but I do know one thing, I like a bit 'o' spike on the bottom of me saw ta dig in, don't give a hoot what it is, not that wee thinhgy down ther I gota worry 'bout. DOH!
My opine, yup, stickin' to it.
:chainsawguy:
This I am sure sounds like sucky-whining, but fk, here I have a saw that I deem to be awesome, and the poor thing has come with one set of dogs stock........ AND THEY SUCK!!!!
Kk, I go now.
