I got a call a week ago from a friend, she needed me to cut a branch at her house, and a friend of hers up the road needed to have a small tree cut down. She said it was over the pool fence, but was only 20' tall. That's what I was expecting, and that's what I brought equipment for. I get up there today, and its a 50' tall cherry which after having a few branches taken off I was able to pull into the woods.

Friday I get a call from another friend, "Matt, I have a large tree in my backyard which I want to take down." I went yesterday and took a look, its a BEAUTIFUL 4' DBH black oak. I agreed to prune the dead wood out of it, and said that if he wanted to remove it, I would have absolutely no part in that. Should be a really fun climb, I figure 1 - 1 1/2 days for the one tree, and then a couple hours for these other 2 that I will remove.

You gotta love it, it has happened to me to you talk to a friend, or client they have a job no big deal, and it is more than you expect, on arrival, my sytem is when I get calls alot of people want prices over phone. I tell them I always have to come look at it first, to figure out price, what I need to do, and tols or help to bring. I am getting better at bidding my jobs. That tok a little time for me. Well god luck with the other tre.
