Sold "SOLD" Hope to Trade an MS 046 for Dolmar or Makita 7900

Just testing the water to see if there is any interest in trading my Stihl 046 for a Dolmar 7900. I will post pics tonight.

I have a 460 as well, what do you think about the 7900?

I have a 461 and a Dolmar 7900. Both very similiar saws power wise. The 7900 is noticeably lighter. The 461 has the HO oiler option that makes running longer bars (32") easier. Overall very similar, pros and cons to both

I have a 460 as well, what do you think about the 7900?

Parts are easier to get for the Stihl and I prefered the, less plastic, construction of the oiler better. Powerwise and weight wise they were the same. The Dolmar does have noticably better AV. Balance was about the same with longer bars.

I like the 7900 better for a few reasons, but I don't know if I would trade a 046 for one just because. I would try and find a used 6400 and build it into a nice 7900. Otherwise just keep the 046.
