I just picked up a running solo 655av. I've never heard or seen this solo model before but its an interesting looking saw. I checked it out on mike acres site and it seem that there were two models of the same saw made the 655 (70cc) and 660 (80cc). Anybody ever run one of these saws?

Interestingly, the oil tank and oil pump are located in the clutch cover. I can't imagine this is the best idea, never seen it on another chainsaw. The saw is complete minus a muffler which I think is going to be tough to find? Anybody have an idea where I might find one?

I have one of these saws, they look strange but they are well designed,
large air filter & cover secured with thumbscrew, adjustable oil flow from top
of chain cover, fuel level window at rear of the saw.
sprocket secured with clip, no need to lock piston to change sprocket.
Decent AV no numb hands, i like the saw very reliable with good power

Parts could be hard to locate, good luck finding a muffler.

Very nice photo, thanks for sharing!

I have one of these as well, it ran when I got it, but I let it sit for a year and now i need to rebuild the carb probably. The only thing I think I'm missing is the kill switch. Need to find one of them, and the carb kit.
