Have been milling pine lately. Milled top and sides to 14" beam width. Beam is 18 feet long. Cutting 3/4" boards for side of a barn. Has been going well.

Sharpened chain this morning and my dad timed some cuts. The first cut is right after sharpening.

1 - 6:43
2 - 7:02
3 - 7:03
4 - 7:15
5 - 6:59

Saw is running well and these times seem consistent. Trying to figure out when to sharpen blade.

Anyhow, the numbers are what they are. The ripsaw is much faster, but thus far I have been unable to get it to cut flat and keep the blade tracking right on it. It is a used ripsaw i bought for $425. Gonna send it back to company and have them go over it.
