I was active duty Army, but I got out after I returned home from Iraq in '91. I' in the Air Force Reserve now. I just finished the Air Force aircraft sheetmetal school in Pensacola, Florida.
I was in the Air Force Reserve in Germany as well. I worked as a civilian machinist for the Air Force at Spangdahlem, Germany in 2002. A10's and F16's.

Thanks Hogjaws,

I really like having that trailer. I had a lot of time spent paddling the canoe in Utah. there are alot of lakes and reservoirs around Utah, I'd take alot of day trips with my kids. My favorite was a 3 day canoe trip on lake Powell (a small portion of it anyway.)
I'll have some pics of my new home state (Alaska) real soon, I just oved here.
I'm from Mississippi originally.
My wife and kids and I lived in Utah for a couple of winters, has to get some skiing in. ;) The trees in the pictures were rotted out in the middle, it was pretty nasty.

I'm just curious how well the stumpgrinder fits in the canoe.

OK, I'm just jealous that you are able to use your canoe enough to keep it strapped to the top of the trailer.

I keep tellin the wife were movin!

You'll have to keep me posted about Alaska, I keep tellin the wife were
moving there after the kids are outa school. This east coast rat race is gettin old. We share some similar backgrd with the planes huh. I had a buddy at Spang when I was there and 1 at Saarbrucken also. It's some pretty country
over there for sure, I had a blast while I was there. Still miss the food and the beer. What do work on now w/ the reserve. Boy its been a while since I
talked about aircraft. Had a chance to continue with that carreer after my tour was up but decided to do something a little cleaner. I could'nt believe
how dirty them planes were after I started workin on em. At Sembach it
seems all we did was repair bird strikes on them A10's and those CH53's were really filthy pigs to work on. Gotta go, talk to you later.
Have a good one.
Mark

Too funny!! :hmm3grin2orange:

I make sure I take alot of time out to go canoeing. That's the only reason I had the "ladder rack" cross bars put on top.

Later,
Mitch

I worked as a civilian machinist for the Air Force at Spangdahlem, Germany in 2002. A10's and F16's.

They had F-4Es & Gs (Wild Weasels), and F-16Cs & Ds when I arrived there, no F-4Es by the time I left. Did they move the Weasel role to the F-16s? They were considering F-15s (Bittburg) and F16s for that role when I left.

The SEAD role is currently carried by F-16's for AF with F-18 and EA-6B for Navy/MC. Those are the only platforms I know of that are currently HARM capable.

Bitburg

When I was there, Bitburg was set up for housing, along with a BX and Comissary. The flightline area on Bitburg has now been turned over to Germany. The Spangdahlem flightline now handles all flights.

Looks like fun, you ever head down to Lake Powell?

I wish I was a bit closer... 240 miles to get to Bullfrog.

Hey SinglerM

Nice Pics again
Good lookin kids, take good care of them and looks like you are.

Hey Hogjaws,

That's at lake Powell, Utah. You got that right about no trees, some shade would have been nice.
It was fun, and the kids dug it, though.
