Rocky, Don't be so hard on yourself with your new signature. Just when I think you really are a jerk......you totality redeem yourself with a post like this!!:D

You are right though, I have been on AS for only 7 months and have learned. I can imagine 2 years. looking forward to it.

Thanks to this form I've learned alot. I've been able to advance as a climber alot quicker!! Than if I would have never met anyone on here. Thanks

with the right (open minded) attitude, this place is invaluable.
I am a far better tree climber than ever, and learn every day.

Sniping and self centeredness are human traits that are unavoidable. (Especially in others!):D

learning to deal with different people was a lot easier in kindergarden, where we were supposed to learn it. most people still have trouble. I do.:(

How many of you have ever met a cocky, arrogant climber before?

Not me!!!

Climbers, as a general rule, are the most humble, self-depricating, soft spoken, most eager to change their ways group of people I have ever met!:D

Uhh, NOT! :blob2:

I have to add this. Climbers are as humble as you let them be. If you push their buttons most will tell you their mind. You can always count on most of them to be direct and to the point. If you can't handle that you better speak up. Most of us don't mean to be rude, but have learned not to beat around the bush. Comes natural in this profession. Most climbers you'll find to be a little crazy. To me their the best group of people you could hang with. The stories will be told. Most true; some a little streached, but all in all you can't beat us with a stick. Climb hard and hit the ground running, but always be on your feet looking for new and better ways to master this trade we do for a living. I love it don't you? OH YA!!!!!!!!!!! Peace, BB:blob6:

MB.... Funny LMAO. Your are right, along with others. Tree workers/climbers are "touched".

I have always said to a rock climber." Imagine climbing every day, a different rock or maountian...with a high powered arborist chain saw, climbing down, and cleaning up".

the response was always...hummm....you are right. you MUST love your work and be alittle...touched.

AS has not only be great in learning and giving a sense of tree community, it has put a lot of money in my pocket.... Not only from improvrmrnts in techniques. The people I have met here have been great.... Treeslayer pointed me in the right direction and sent plenty of work my way in Virginia.... Knowing each other from AS gave us a quick sense of mutual trust and respect...

When I get busy I don't have much time to spend on the computer.... when things are a little slower, I spend hours of seemingly unproductive time on AS... although it may look like an inverse relationship between profit and time on AS, this site has been huge for me!!!!
Thanks to all of you!!!
