I borrowed a DVD from my brother that contains a whole bunch of 8mm home movies that his in-laws' family had converted to digital a couple years ago. The footage appears to span from maybe 1958 to 1972 and is just arranged randomly in whatever order they put the reels in. In the mix was some random footage of a small family bushmill (apparently not theirs) operating back in the mid '60s. It looks like they're making railroad ties, which makes me think that the mill was located somewhere north of Prince George. There's a lot of other footage from a trip they took to Alaska in the very early 1960s, and I know the PGE railway didn't go north from PG through the Pine Pass until something like 1958.
I've had this DVD for some time now but just got around to cutting and pasting the sawmill clips all together. It's only a couple minutes long with no original audio, but it's interesting to watch.
