And he knows who he is! He is the one that advised that the chainsaw attachment for a HT/KM series would fit on my FS-110 string trimmer. Dang it he was right(as usual) and I had to spend hard earned money on another saw related tool.
On the bright side, it works like a charm. Of course more power would be nice but it works really sweet. I own 2 clearing saws and this one is more versatile in a lot of ways!!
Thanks for the continuing good advice!!

If you wanted more power you should have bought the FS130R..........

I bought this when the 4 mix just came out. I was in a hurry to get one and did not want to wait for the 130. It was a shortsighted move on my part!!
I will order the KM130 motor for this later. I already had the 110 and again wanted what I wanted now not later. A big failing of mine!

Ok, you've made your case, go ahead and out the scoundrel :hmm3grin2orange:

While we're on this subject, can someone tell me why the CS attachment will go on the FS130R (loop handle) and not on the FS130 (handlebars). I' planning on spending my tax refund on a FS130 and I really don't want a loop handle. I've run both styles and I'm more comfortable with the handlebars.

Have you ever tried to hold a handlebar unit over your head. The reason has to do with control and safety.

The handle bar version is only useful for trimming/cutting at ground level... PITA and DANGEROUS otherwise.. If you can only buy one type, and need to use it other than on the ground, buy the loop.

I'll probably just save my money and buy a dedicated pole pruner later. I only run a brush cutter about once a month during the growing season but when I do run it I put 4 or 5 hours on it at a time, only stopping to refuel, and the handlebar unit is far more comfortable for me to run.

I agree 100%, with both of you....:)
