There is just some wood to nice. Right is cherry left is if im not mistaken black walnut . Going to drill some holes and use t candles from a local candle shop. Rough cut with my 260. Planed it down sanded and 3 coats of boiled linseed oil.

These are the cut offs and scrap pieces . The tree trunks are cut into 12 ft rounds . I have a good size pile of cutoffs in the barn . Most of the cherry I have been using in my smoker. Plan to by an Alasken mill this spring .
I have a couple of black ash burls to gather this spring that I found deer hunting last fall.
I also am getting my big white ash burl made into a table this spring.
Definitely some cool wood out there. Wish I had my grandpas lathe.
