Last fall I did some work for a friend of my father who lives well outside of my normal service area. Only took him on because of the relation between the two. Well about a month ago there were some heavy snow and rain storms, the guy had some branches break at the house. I drove by one day (he's not there all winter) and cut the branches which were hanging... just left them be on the ground. Sent the guy an e-mail saying I'd chip them one day when I got around to it, which was fine by him. Well finally this afternoon I hauled the chipper over there (20 miles+/- each way, out of the way) to chip this brush up. Now the guy's driveway is a PITA to back into. I get the truck and chipper in the driveway after a few failed attempts... the brush is all gone. To say I was MAD would be an understatement.

ooof! That sucks. If the road to hell is paved with good intentions what is the road to heaven paved with, bad intentions?

Not trying to be rude but why would you not contact the property owner to let them know what you are doing before driving out there? Even though they are friends I always let anyone know when I will be on their property. In this case they would have informed you the trip was not necessary.

I was gonna ask the same thing but I knew better.

No, the guy put it in his pick up and took it to the dump and didn't bother calling to say it was done.
