My son got a 025 from someone that said it was "junk". It looks like the only problem is that it isn't oiling the chain, so they burnt up the bar. I put a different bar, shot it with an oil can and it cuts great. I suspect it's been used about enough to wear out a bar and a couple of chains, then the oiler quit and finished off the bar.
So on to a fix. I blew off all my external oil, and ran the saw. The oil port comming to the bar is completly dry. When the saw sets, there is a little oil that leaks out from behind the clutch.
Does anyone have instructions or a diag. of how to get to the oiler? I've never had my stihl apart in the 6 years I've owned it.... I don't mind taking things apart, but I kinda want to know what I'm doing first.
