Job description - Tree Climbers wanted for Koala Field Assistant positions, Kangaroo Island. 2 contract positions up to 4 years, 14 temporary positions up to 7 months, $32,865 - $33,392 p.a. (GSE4) Assist in the implementation of the field operations of the Koala Management Program on Kangaroo Island, including the capture of Koalas, involving tree climbing using a rope and harness system. Actully saw some guys doing it on tv...looked like a pain
 
Pretty ordinary pay for that isolated job.

Those are the meanest Koalas around, not even the parks and zoos want them. They couldn't even send them to Japan.

The island is heavily over populated with them and it's about time they did something about them.

But, climbing trees to catch them, they're agro and wild, pass on that especially for that money.
 
not wrong! ive passed up on koala catching a few times.

although the fishing there is pretty good
 
The fishing is great you are right.

Just dont mess with those huge sea lions on the beaches though.
