I like loooooow stretch for speedlines. This is a good application for high-modulus lines. Crystalyne or Maxibraid.

i was told that nick, what do you think to 11mm abseil line?

Stephen, I have been satisfied with an 11mm static line made by Roca, in Spain, for moderate load speedlining. It stretches less than 2% at 80 kg, and has a tensile strength of around 40 kN. I've had it several years...don't remember the model name. It is solid black, like an assault line, and is stiff...hard to set knots. 200 feet of it weighs about 12 lbs.

It has more stretch than some of the specialty fibers, no doubt, but meets most of my needs.

It worked well for handled ascenders before I converted it to rigging use.

thats the sort of stuff im looking at, its pretty cheap. i dont want to spend much on something im going to use onve a year

Abseil line is okay if you don't load it too much. There are better lines, but the one you're looking at sounds like it might be okay.

Make sure to get the manufacturer and all the important stats on the rope. Don't buy the rope just because it looks like it might do the trick.
