Who runs a 8 teeth-sprocket and which experiences did you make?
Oregon offers both.

Thanks Vincent from Germany

Even a stock 90 CC saw should pull an 8 no problem as long as it's not a 3 foot bar and full comp chain, you may want to drop back to a 7 if that is the case.

I'm running a 9T on a modified 361 and an 18" bar, comp chain, square chisel. Its is cutting hard dead oak easily.

That is a 9 pin .325, isn't it?

.325x9 and 3/8x8 are very close in size, closer than .325x8 and 3/8x7.

I use 3/8x8 with a 15" bar, and -x7 with an 18" at the moment, on my stock European MS361.

Must be 325 , maybe possible for a 361 to pull 3/8 9T on a 16 inch bar but I very much doubt it would be the best. Going to need close 80cc before a 9 will start to work.

Run an 8 tooth all the time on both my modded 460 and 660. The only exception is if I am in really hard butted Doug Fir - then I will run a 7 tooth - just for the torque.
