I recently switched from Buckingham Steel Spurs W/ Soft Cushion Wrap W/ Steel Insert to Climb Right Spurs with Soft Cushion Pads (NO STEEL INSERT), they felt VERY shaky and unstable so i placed an order with wesspur. I was told by wesspur the Ultra Stiff Wrap Pads for "Bashlin" Spurs would work because Climb Rights are "EXACTLY" identical to Bashlin's. Received my order today. They fit very oddly. Somehow I personally do not think these are supposed to go together. The angle of the pad on the shank is very sharp. Has anyone encountered anything like this. I am thinking about returning for the Super "Buck" Climber Pads. Are the Super Climber Pads tight and stable? Any opinions? :dizzy:

The super climber pads are pretty good. When I first got mine , I thought they were great. They are very comfortable and stable if you cinch them down very tight. I tried them a little looser than normal once because they are so padded and plush and after a while in the tree they rotated on me and started digging into my leg like crazy, I couldn't stop and fix it till I got out of the tree.

I climb on alum. off set bashlins . My next set of pads are going to be the alum. caddy pads. They're not much more cost and from what I hear are more comfortable for most.

Sill using the old , single strap Buckkinghams . What do you think of the VELCRO wrap pads ? Look like they would be comfortable to wear. Any comments appreciated !

The velcro straps with steel inserts for buckingham's are comfortable and tight. The ones without the inserts feel unsafe to me. The ones with the steel insert only fit buckingham's.

whats with the wicked angle? man these pads hurt! how can this be corrected? I have used these pads for 3yrs and so far Buckingham has made no improvements. does anyone else have this problem? my new foot plates make this problem hurt even more wtf i also want to find a shoe/boot that works good with and without hooks. ems makes a great mountaineering boots the best i ever used and they are great 2 foot-lock prune and remove but cost 225$ and the sole starts 2 peal off after 2 months ems states they stand behind there boots and will replace, refund or fix what ever the customer wants, but this is a crock of chit they have replaced them once 4 me but took 1hr or arguing so i put them on the don't ever do that again list. please
