The door on my wood stove is quite loud and wakes the wife when I put in the "overnighter" log before bed. Any ideas on what to use? We have tried oil but it evaporates.
Thanks,
Ian

Mine squeek too, sometimes, oh well.

My second thought is, graphite? or take the door apart and clean it real good, maybe there is some rust, some high temp lubricant, like synthetic bearing grease.

Contact the manufacturer, or the dealer, they must have had some feedback about this. Good luck. Post the solution that works.

my first choice would be graphite, my second would be hi-temp anti-seize compound.

Hinges

Used graphite on mine, worked pretty good. :biggrinbounce2:

I mixed graphite with grease. The grease sticks the graphite to the hinges and eventually burns off, but leaves the graphite behind. No more squeaks.

The name of the product I used is as I spelled it.
