Just curious what the major differences between the two are? What are the advantages of one over the other?

Thanks, Jeff

i think Samson's Stable is softer/splicable, 1 ton stronger than Wall's Super line of polyester doublebraid.

The tightness of Super, wouldn't let as much dirt in, but cause more friction too; for perhaps a weaker; but maybe longer lasting line(?)

Rocky, both of those lines are polyester doublebraids, but they are not the same. The super braid is stiffer. And it's made by Wall, not Yale. The superbraid will be more resistant to wear and picking of the strands.

I use both. I like my super braid better on the winch and in rough bark natural crotches, this is the first rigging rope I go to. It is not as strong as the stable and I tend to use the stable only when I'm doing heavy rigging. I hated the superbraid for the first month or so, itis so stiff that it was a pain to tie knots with, and you almost could not use it with a running bowline to secure a small 2-3" branch because the stiff rope would not wrap around the branch snugly enough to look right. You will not get any pulled, puffed, or snagged strands on the super braid.
