hi all,
Have purchased 338xpt online from your country, paid shipping etc (not duty or gst but :biggrinbounce2: ) and still saved around 400aud (650aud compared to 020) on saw over here; good story.
as for power/performance...
it's not quite an 020.
should say wasn't quite an 020.
now it's not even a 338, i will post pics as soon as i get digital camera, have done muffler mod ( only added 6mm hole, tho this was probably partly covered by brazing), have pulled caps on carb being sure to remember where the screw was turned to. This was yesterday, today i tried to tune and lost my base point.
anyone out there know what the default settings are for this saw with caps removed? (ie 2 turns from fully closed)
I have tried searching on forums but can't find.
imo fyi husky top handled looks heaps cooler than stihl, kinda like red cars go faster.
I don't care, when tuning is finished i sure it good saw.
i'll repeat my question so skim readers can avoid mind clogging jabber

anyone out there know what the default settings are for this saw (338xpt)with caps removed? (ie 2 turns from fully closed)
