Good day,

I m doing some research for a new business around drum wood chipper. In short I need to know if it is hard to run such an equipment all year round of if this is more a seasonal thing. I m tallking about drum chipper above 100hp.

My business will run in QC, BC, CO, VT, NY, NJ (...) everywhere snow is present in winter.

Thanks,
Alex,

My recommendation for a drum chipper is to make sure that there is no water or ice in the knife pockets before starting work. This would create an imbalance when engaging the clutch. If your store your chipper with a roof overhead, I wouldn't worry about a thing. Disc chippers really don't experience this possible occurrence.

Hope this helps.
