Thats how my feet felt yesterday at the fair.. the girls wanted to see every single farm animal ... and pet every one of them too....After the first hour, I realized I was just saying NO to thin air.... They had fun though

There is an antique tractor show and threshing bee in monroe, 15 or so mi. from home, they got antique tractor pulls and all kinds of fun stuff... I should have went today but... maybe tomorrow...

they got a flat head v-8 ford 8n there that out pulls damn near everything and does some awesome brodys...

I sure like steam power though

"Fond" memories running an American self feed w/ 12T 20heel blades.
Don't recognize blades on the Root.
Common enough in the 50-70's for producing lath, stakes, dowel and handle bolts.
No chain brake, lol, but sure could kick back.

Thanks for shariing your pictures of the self feed and the mill.

Sounds like ya had a blast slayer! The only State fair near me with cool stuff like that is the Ozark Empire State Fair up in Springfield, Missouri. It was this weekend...I should have gone, evidently there is a Stihl timbersports thing going on up there and Stihl brought a sponsored team of "Stihl Women"! LOL!

Nothing wrong with a little eye candy.

Ya but are they still woman or did they used to be men?

Add some rust and grease and a mountian of sawdust

and that's the first sawmill I helped at. The steam from the engine also covered for the still Grampa used to turn the corn crop into cash.
