Rebuilt carb on ms 440 . Walbro kit comes with a paper gasket and a rubber gasket for fuel pump side, saw a few people used both with the rubber towards out side paper in middle then the diaphragm, is that right I always just used the paper gasket over the diaphragm against the carb , does it matter?

Only one gasket is used.

Depends on which side of the carburetor you are talking about. On the fuel pump side with the flaps in the diaphragm, the diaphragm goes on first, then the gasket, and then the cover. On the metering side with the lever and needle, the gasket goes on first, then the diaphragm, and then the cover. I always use the paper gaskets and toss the rubber gaskets aside.

Fuel pump side , but there is a paper gasket that I always use over the diaphragm and there was also a rubber gasket that I saw people used both for the Ms 440 same shape and cut outs as the paper gasket, not talking about the needle and jet side

The one video I saw was a YouTube guy Human , Same ms 440 same walbro carb kit, I’ve just never stacked 2 gaskets there, also with the original h2 air filter does it matter to run a foam insert inside filter, I know about spit back but it didn’t have one before just not sure if I should add one, this saws newish to me, just rebuilt it, crankseals the two gasket thing kinda through me for a loop always was the paper gasket on the diaphragm against carb body and put cover on

I took out the extra rubber gasket, I’ve never have stacked gaskets before, I probably of been fine but I’ll pressure check it , maybe its extra in case that side because it only has the one big Philips leaks , sometimes they don’t hold pressure
