I have recently acquired an old Stihl 009 from my father. The saw has not run in years. I'm going to change the fuel lines and associated parts. I have disassembled the carb and cleaned it. There is a spark, but the saw will not start. I figured that a little carb and choke cleaner in the cylinder would fire it up at least momentarily, but that is not the case. Please provide your thoughts on why it will not fire up at least momentarily or what could be the problem.

Thanks

carb cleaner is not that flammable, it will kill even a v-8 engine when enough is sprayed into it.
pour a little gas mix down its throat and try it again.
