Yes, I tried the search function. I must not know the right words....

I have a Stihl 010AV that I use for trimming light branches etc. I believe it needs the carb screws adjusted.

Is the low speed screw supposed to be set 1 to 1.25 out?

Where is the high speed screw supposed to be set?

Yes, but the 1 to 1.25 is just the inital setting. Then tune when warm a little either way for both stable idle and smooth accelaration. The H scew should be set to 1 turn out, then tuned with a tach for max ALLOWABLE rpm or by ear of the 4stroking sounds.. If you're unsure, just leave it at 1 turn out. Lot's of related posts on AS - do a quick search on carb tuning..

The H screw was way off. Runs better now.
