Stihl 017 carburetors

New member to the web site. There were 2 different carburetors used on the Stihl 017. One has a flat plate on top and the other has a 90 degree elbow fitting on top. Can the plate with the 90 be switched out for the flat plate. Thanks for the help

I think so, might of done it myself some time ago , just not positive or it may of been a different model saw with the same circumstances . It would need to be the same brand of carburetor or a clone version I expect.
