The flow of oil to the bar has reduced dramatically. The hole supplying the oil adjacent to the bar is not blocked,With the bar and chain removed and motor running at high revs there is just a small trickle of oil coming out.
Any suggestions please

Well, if it's still pumping, it's working, but not very well. I'd say your oil pump is getting ready to S.T.B (PM me if you don't know what that means), basically die. Could be as simple as an o-ring. Could be a clog somewhere else in the pickup or somewhere in the line. If you're comfortable behind a wrench, take it apart and see what you can find. I'm not familiar with the 018 oil pump, if it's a piston type or not. stihltech, any ideas?

Sorry if I ain't much help, just my ideas, and what I'd look for.

Take care all,
Jeff

No, the black handle bar has to come off then there is a white plastic fitting on the bottom of thew saw held on with a single screw. The oil pump is pressed into the saw body to a specific depth (4.2mm) and has to be indexed to assure alignment of the passages. This is not a simple job, not the most challenging either.
