I picked up a used 019t yesterday. They told me it dies out. Got her home started cutting wood ran good but then i saw the problem. At full throttle it dies out kind of like it was bogging form being to rich. Then it would load up and just die out. Then i would have to restart and blip the throttle to get it running again. The saw dose idle good. They told me its been to the dealer a few times and keeps doing this. Any ideas what i could be?

Saw update Dealer never replaced the plug it was black. Put a new plug in ran worse started taking it apart thing is a pain. No wounder people hate these

They are not that bad actually. Once you have done it a few times they are not bad at all. Get a carb kit, redo the fuel line while you are at it and I think you will be fine. I got one in a trade some time ago and just took it apart to do the carb and fuel line and the first time was a little tricky but with all things you acquire a new skill set and it is not that bad. Since then I have done a few more and no issues at all. any q's just ask. Great bunch of blokes here.

Well i installed a new carb keeps doing the same thing no matter how i adjust it it loads up and dies out. Will not idle for a long period of time before it dies.

I'd check the spark plug wire. My 011AVT was running erratically and the plug wire insulation was split and partially grounding the spark. You can replace the wire after CAREFULLY digging old wire out of the coil socket. Should have a conical screw in the center - on which, the new wire will screw on. Takes 5mm wire but you can shave 2mm of insulation off a 7mm wire and make it fit the coil socket. 2 part epoxy lathered on/in will keep it secure.

My ms180 does the same thing .. I fixed it buying a new husqvarna 435 ! Solved the problem completely

thanks i might just not worry about this one plug is a brand new bosh

A new plug is good...but if the coil isn't delivering 10k - 20k volts consistently, a new plug doesn't help.

so true just a pain to work on

If the 019 is like the 011...yeah, kind of a pain. Take the whole handle and AV rubber off to get the flywheel cover off.

Anyone know the stock carb setting only idle and la needles

Thanks that helped i got it running not a bad running saw

Greetings about 019t,Mine still won't start up and run consistently. Ive taken this thing apart replaced Carb (It seems like I have to turn the low screw so far out that it has even fallen out once!) with one with a high jet, fuel line, crank seals, spark plug. Ive not looked into muffler at all. I don't want to give up yet on these but Im developing quite a grudge at this point. I'd appreciate any help. Thanks!
