Hello All, I have a stihl 026 that has some issues with compression.
Piston/Cylinder looks fine, I replaced the rings as well as base gasket.

Reads 95 psi on a compression test and won't start at all

Please help

Hmm... Just tried it on a saw that starts/runs great and it reads 75 psi...
Well either that compression tester can't be used or has the wrong shrader valve in it.

Have you checked and made sure you have spark? If so and you have spark spray some mixed fuel down the carb throat and see if it will pop.

Yes, it has perfect spark.
I will try the spraying mix into the carb (do you still have to put choke on when doing this, or does it not matter)

no need for the choke here but do hold the throttle wide open when you try spraying it through the carb then release and try to start it.
