Can some one tell me how to get the gas tank off a 026. If I tip the saw upside down I get gas leaking down below the carb outside the enclosure that the carb is in. Also the oiler is leaking while the saw is not running any help would be greatly appreciated

PM me with your email and I can email a service manual and an IPL to you.

It's not hard but there are many steps...

You'd be best served by first getting and IPL and a service manual.

In short
- empty the gas out!
- remove air cleaner
- take of the tank handle cover (screw underneath at rear)
- unhook carb throttle linkage
- take off carb
- unhook wires to shutoff switch/throttle rod
- remove manifold boot spacers (inside and out)
- Pry off the white plastic covers on two rubber buffers
- remove the screws inside the three buffers
- Pull tank slightly forward and unhook the impulse line from the crank case
- push shut off wires though tank grommet
- pull tank off....

However... your tank "leak" is MOST likely a bad fuel line... So just pull the carb and check that first..
