Stihl 026 piston

Hi all,

Just bought a piston kit for my 026. There is an arrow on the top of the piston. Should I be concerned about this????

I have never done this before!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, be concerned, arrow points forward when installed.

The rings must go on right side up so the end pin matches, and the end pins must be towards the intake side.

To do otherwise will trash the jug.
