I suspect my clutch spring is worn of my Stihl 028AV (1985) because chain is running in low idle.
So I ordered new clutch springs, but they are smaller than the springs in the saw.

I ordered the 0000 997 5811 which i found in a old part list.

What is the correct part number of a clutch spring in a Stihl 028AV?
Or are the wrong springs in the saw?

The part number for the 028 clutch shoe is 1113 162 0802.
Maybe the new springs are close enough to the same length as the old ones, you'll have to remove one to compare.

I am also searching, , ,the ones you bought , did they work. I have tried proline springs, the loop on the end has to be chopped off to make them fit, and the angle of approach is all wrong, , ,so I know this is an old post, but for anyone who sees it, , ,proline springs won't work.
