bar chain tightning scew is just flopping around in there. screw head is right against bar. too much play. it surely not supposed to be like that is it?

No. Probably missing the black rubber half bushing, aka clamp #1110 021 9000.

Just make one out of a piece of heater hose or windshield washer tubing...after making sure that the adjuster pin is still threaded on the screw & that the case isn’t busted up behind the inner bar plate.

got a photo how it goes??? also how i remove inner bar plate? just that one hex bolt? or the 2 studs have to come out??

Yes, pull both studs out. Put the two bar nuts on a stud, tighten them together, then use an open end wrench on the bottom nut to remove the bar stud. Repeat.

Go to the ‘pickup body’ picture here, sister model 032 saws use the same tensioner (your ‘bar chain tightning scew’) set up.
