Stihl 032 AV Saw

Hi,
New here.
Have problem with my saw. Electronic ignition coil, and module is toast.
No parts are available at Stihl.
Any one have one , or know where there is one????

Stihl 032 AV 16" chain saw.

I knew you would chime in Scott and I hope you can help him out cause that ebay part is high. But if you cant find it and he really really really loves that saw. I have bought from retoocs555 = Scott and he will back up what he says on his parts and saws.

That ign sys on ebay is not electronic, thanks good try.
I will wait for retoocs555 too reply Again.
Remember an 032 AV Electronic Ignition, has coil ,and module no points.

I think you have the 032 AVE then, not the 032 AV. Good luck on your search.

Why do you think the coil is bad? Very rare... just replace the module (available from Stihl for about $35) and it will work. If you really need a coil, several site sponsers can supply a used one or if they can't PM me.

Cutforfun, Have never heard of an 032 AVE, have manual for Sthil 032s none listed.
Lakeside53, I took Ign. sys. too Stihl they said it was bad, and none available.

I could put that module in and try it, then take it apart again if it don't work and then try to find a coil.
Sounds like I got a lot of time, since I'm retired.

I think the E in AVE just stands for the eletronic ignition. While AV is just the points systems. Just my 2 cents. Maybe one of the stihl experts can help you out. Try Thall and Lakeside.

Lots of info, can't say I never heard of one now.
My saw is just an av with electronic ign.
I am second owner ,but saw looks new.
Someone might have changed it over.
