Took my wife to the Smokies this weekend for her birthday, and while just cruising through town we stopped at a pawn Shop. She dashed straight for audio & electric stuff. Of course I'm about to turn over display cases making my way to chainsaw section! :D
He had MS 250-$165...017-$75...028 AV Super- $200...dropped to $125...I succumbed finally to 034 which was sans bar?chain! Cranked on the first rip & sounded super...$60.
I've read some awesome reviews online about this saw...what kind of experience do any of you have with it and whats your favorite or most productive bar/chain set up and and any known issues with it? I did read some feed-back about the oiler, being less than generous, but I'm seeing those comments on many of the Stihl saws.

Thanks Reg

I just picked up my latest saw, an 034 that got straight gassed, for $80. It has a new Tecomec 036 cylinder kit sitting on it now with minor porting and modded muffler. I MUCH prefer the 036 non pro over this 034. Every time I get an 034 it has bum parts or missing parts.

Aside from my 4400 Poulan, 034 is the only other saw I've bought new and she's got a special place in my heart. Me thinks you'll like it.
