Can anybody tell me the differences between these two saws?

Power and displacement wise they are the same, but they use a different cylinder, muffler and a few different parts. Basically a "cheaper" 036. Stihl stopped supplying the USA with the 034S mid 90's as they cannibalized the 036 sales. It was available in CA though.
had a 034 super for a long time. one of the best saws I've ever ran.
sold it after getting my 046 and 026. with that combo around, 034 super seldom got used.
if you've only get to have one saw, that would be a good one.
