Stihl 044 10mm OEM Cylinder. I bought a parts saw and was going to rebuild it, but I decided it needed too much.

The cylinder had some aluminum transfer that I cleaned with a Foredom.

There is some pitting in the plating. I was told that is common in the 10mm 044s. There is also some rounding of the edges around the ports.

Hey, I have an off the wall question, but what does the series of +'s mean on a mahle cylinder, on some model saws I can quickly glance and see the ++++++ and assume it is OEM, but I have no idea what it really means.
