I got this Stihl 044 today. OEM saw , has spark and compression is around 140psi. Saw is a bit hard to start(5-6 pull) but runs. No chain brake. Missing bar nuts, but good threads.

I’m interested as long as the p+c look good, sounds like some rings are in order at the very least.

David, I am also curious, is it a 10 or 12 mm? The slant fin points to a 10, but some funny things happened in transition years if I am not mistaken.

Yes, I think it is a 10mm.
